Causes and treatment methods of abnormal suction of AC contactor

Abnormal pull-in of the AC contactor refers to abnormal phenomena such as the pull-in of the AC contactor is too slow, the contacts cannot be completely closed, and the iron core emits abnormal noise. The reasons and solutions for the abnormal suction of the AC contactor are as follows:
1. Since the power supply voltage of the control circuit is lower than 85% of the rated voltage, the electromagnetic force generated after the electromagnetic coil is energized is small, and the moving iron core cannot be quickly attracted to the static iron core, causing the contactor to pull in slowly or not tightly. The power supply voltage of the control circuit should be adjusted to the rated working voltage.
2. Insufficient spring pressure causes the contactor to pull in abnormally; the reaction force of the spring is too large, resulting in slow pull-in; the spring pressure of the contact is too large, so that the iron core cannot be completely closed; the spring pressure of the contact and the release pressure If it is too large, the contacts cannot be completely closed. The solution is to adjust the spring pressure appropriately and replace the spring if necessary.
3. Due to the large gap between the moving and static iron cores, the movable part is stuck, the rotating shaft is rusted or deformed, resulting in abnormal contactor suction. During processing, the moving and static iron cores can be removed for inspection, the gap can be reduced, the rotating shaft and support rod can be cleaned, and accessories can be replaced if necessary.
4. Due to long-term frequent collisions, the surface of the iron core is uneven and expands outward along the thickness of the laminations. At this time, it can be trimmed with a file, and the iron core should be replaced if necessary.
5. The short-circuit ring is broken, causing the iron core to make abnormal noise. In this case, a shorting ring of the same size should be replaced.
