SMART CIRCUIT BREAKERS

Smart Breakers for Remote Switching and Energy Metering

A smart breaker is an ordinary two-pole breaker with three things added: current and voltage sensing, a relay or motor drive for remote switching, and a radio for WiFi or 4G. The protection is unchanged; the difference is that the circuit can be metered and switched without opening the panel.
WTB2-80ML covers 32 A to 80 A at 230 V in two-pole format, 6 kA breaking capacity, with residual current settings at 30, 50, 100 or 300 mA. The WiFi version joins a local network; the 4G version takes a SIM and works where no network reaches the board.
Typical uses are rental units, telecom cabinets, shops and small commercial boards where a technician would otherwise be sent out to reset a breaker. Units carry CE and CCC marking.

Smart Breaker Selection

Choose the current as you would for any breaker, then choose WiFi or 4G by what reaches the board, and check whether the app or a platform is needed.

Before you install

  • Check the neutral. The device is two-pole and switches both conductors, so the wiring has to bring both through it.
  • Check the signal. A basement board with no coverage needs the 4G version and a SIM; WiFi needs the router in range.
  • Keep the protection independent of the app. Overcurrent and residual current tripping work locally; the app only adds control and reading.
Send the board layout, current rating and site connectivity, and we will confirm the model and what the app needs.
REMOTE SWITCHING

Retrofit, Signal and Fail-Safe

Coverage Decides WiFi or 4G

A basement or a remote cabinet needs a SIM; a board beside the router does not.

The App Is Not the Protection

Tripping is local and keeps working offline. The app only adds switching and reading.
COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, if the panel has DIN rail and space for a two-pole device of that width, and the supply is 230 V single phase. Adding one to an existing board is a retrofit, so the wiring has to be re-terminated to bring both live and neutral through the device.
