20-30A 2 Pole Definite Purpose Contactor

Rating: 20-30A 2 Pole Definite Purpose Contactor, 30 FLA per pole with 150A locked rotor at 240/277V.

Poles: Two main poles, L1 and L2 in, T1 and T2 out, for single phase compressors and resistive loads.

Coil: 208-240VAC 50/60Hz as standard, with 24, 120 and 480VAC coils available across the series.

Terminals: 10-32 screw terminals, the connection used on the 20, 25 and 30 FLA frame.

Life and ambient: 100,000 or 250,000 cycle options, working range -40 to +150 degrees F.

20-30A 2 Pole Definite Purpose Contactor

This two pole definite purpose contactor covers the 20 to 30A band used on single phase air conditioning, refrigeration and heating loads. Each pole carries 30 FLA with 150A locked rotor capacity at 240/277V, and the 10-32 screw terminals match the wiring practice on that frame size.

Contact Rating Per Pole

At 240/277V each pole is rated 30 FLA, 150A LRA and 40A resistive. At 480V the figures are 30 FLA, 125A LRA and 40A resistive, and at 600V they are 30 FLA, 100A LRA and 40A resistive. The label rating applies per pole, so a two pole unit switches two of these circuits.

Coil and Control

The unit is supplied with a 208-240VAC 50/60Hz coil, and 24, 120 and 480VAC coils are available across the series. Class F insulation keeps the coil stable at the top of the ambient range.

Terminals and Mounting

Main terminals are 10-32 screws, used on the 20, 25 and 30 FLA models, and the base follows the NEMA mounting pattern so the contactor drops onto existing brackets. Box lug and pressure plate terminations are available on the larger frames.

Life and Ambient Range

Life rating is 100,000 or 250,000 cycles depending on the version ordered. The contactor works from -40 degrees F to +150 degrees F, or -40 to +65 degrees C. Tell us the FLA, coil voltage and pole count and we will confirm the model.
