WTH8-16 Household Modular Contactor 16A
The WTH8-16 is the smallest size in the WTH8 modular range, a coil operated contactor that clips onto a 35mm DIN rail and takes one module width in the 2 pole version. It carries 16A in AC-7a duty and 6A in AC-7b duty, so it suits lighting, small heating loads and appliance circuits rather than motor starting.
Current Ratings
AC-7a duty is 16A with 3.5kW at 250V and 6kW at 400V. AC-7b, the motor category, is 6A with 1.4kW at 250V and 2.2kW at 400V. Conventional thermal current for the frame is 25A.
Coil Operation
The coil is switched by the control circuit and the contactor closes without any manual action, which is the difference between this model and the WTH8-16M. Rated insulation voltage is 500V, and operating voltage is 250V for the two pole version and 400V for the four pole version.
Module Width and Mounting
The 2 pole body is 18mm wide and the 4 pole body 36mm, both 85mm long with a 66.5mm height. The 35mm DIN rail clip means no separate bracket is needed inside a distribution board.
