WXU-04 Over and Under Voltage Relay with Adjustable Delay
The WXU-04 compares the supply it sees with the voltage set on its face and drops its output when the supply leaves the window in either direction. It is the relay that keeps a chiller, a pump set or a machine panel from running through a brownout or an overvoltage that would overheat the windings.
The Window in Two Dials
The first dial selects Un in eight steps from 220V to 460V, which covers 400V and 415V boards as well as the 440V and 460V supplies found in some plants. The over-voltage dial then sets a percentage above that value and the under-voltage dial sets one below it, each from 2% to 20%. Hysteresis is fixed at 2%, so the output does not flick between states when the supply sits right at the threshold.
Delay Before It Trips
Tt sets the action delay from 0.1 to 10 seconds. A short delay absorbs the dip that follows the start of a large motor or the transfer of a supply, and a longer one is used where the load can ride through a sag but not a sustained fault. Power on delay is 0.5 seconds and reset time is 1 second, so the relay settles before it judges the supply.
Reading the Supply
The measuring circuit runs from 45Hz to 65Hz with an error of 1% or less and a range of 176V to 552V, which is wide enough for the 220V step and the 460V step on the same hardware. The knob setting itself is accurate to 10%, and both dials are adjusted with a screwdriver through the front of the module.
Output and Panel Fit
The output is one changeover contact on 11, 12 and 14, rated 10A thermal current and 250V 2.5A under AC-15, with a 500mW minimum switching power. Rated insulation voltage is 500V and impulse withstand 2.5kV, mechanical life 10 million operations against 100,000 electrical. The face carries a supply lamp and a red output lamp. The body carries CE and CCC marking. Send your line voltage, the window you need and the quantity to WTAIELE for a quote.
