WXU-07 Phase Asymmetry Relay with Adjustable Delay
The WXU-07 does one job: it watches how evenly the load sits across the three phases and drops its contact when the spread passes the limit set on the face. It suits a panel where the voltage itself is already supervised upstream and the missing piece is a check on balance.
Two Dials, Two Jobs
The upper dial sets the asymmetry threshold from 5% to 15% and the lower one sets the action delay from 0.1 to 10 seconds. The two positions that carry voltage threshold knobs on the sibling models are blanked off on this one, so there is no voltage threshold to set and nothing to read wrong.
Asymmetry Rather Than Absolute Voltage
A supply can sit comfortably inside its voltage window and still be badly out of balance, and that is the condition that heats a stator winding fastest. Reading the spread between phases catches a loose terminal, a single blown capacitor in a bank, or a load that has been added to one phase of a three phase board. An open phase is detected at 70% of the rated voltage alongside the balance check.
Delay and Reset
The delay keeps the contact in while a large motor starts and drags the phases apart for a moment, which is where a fast asymmetry relay earns its nuisance trips. Power on delay is 0.5 seconds and reset time is 1 second, so the relay settles after a supply break instead of latching a fault. Measurement covers 45Hz to 65Hz with an error of 1% or less.
Output and Panel Fit
The output is a changeover contact on 11, 12 and 14 rated 10A thermal current and 250V 2.5A under AC-15, with a 500mW minimum switching power. Rated insulation voltage is 500V and impulse withstand 2.5kV, mechanical life 10 million operations against 100,000 electrical. The face carries a supply lamp and a red output lamp, and the body carries CE and CCC marking. One 18mm module fits a 35mm rail.
