Q3R-63 4P Dual Power Automatic Transfer Switch for 63A Circuits
The Q3R-63 hands a 63A circuit between a normal supply and a standby supply. Both sources land on their own labelled blocks on the same frame, a motor drive makes the change, and a handle on the front lets an operator do it by hand when the control circuit is out of service.
Two Blocks, Both Labelled
Normal Power sits on one side of the frame and Ready Power on the other, each with terminals 1, 3, 5 and N. That is the three phase plus neutral arrangement a 230/400 V circuit uses, and an electrician making off the cables reads the source from the cover rather than from a drawing. Both blocks share one base plate, so the changeover occupies a single footprint on a wall box or a small panel.
Automatic and Manual on the Same Cover
Two green buttons select Automatic or Manual, and the red rocker takes the drive out of circuit. In manual the blue handle with the red arrow moves the contacts to either source, which covers commissioning and the case where the control supply fails at night. The mode stays where it was set, so a board handed over in manual is not switched back by the next person through the door.
What the Four Lamps Tell You
Lamps at the top of the cover show Normal Power and Ready Power, and a second pair at the base shows Normal Switch and Ready Switch. Read together they separate a supply failure from a switch that has not moved. That is the difference between calling the utility and calling an electrician.
Control Wiring and Mounting
A four pin terminal at the base takes the external control wiring for transfer commands and status. The frame fixes to a back plate on the brackets at both ends, which suits floor standing boxes and small distribution panels. The body carries CE and CCC marking.
